Liechti gives NEXETIS its first victory
Our team was in excellent shape at the Gracia Orlova Tour. Jasmin Liechti wins the time trial and takes second place in the overall standings.
What a performance by NEXETIS in the Czech Republic! The team led by Anna Wiese and Edi Telser was active right from the start of the five-stage Gracia Orlova tour and was always at the forefront of the race. Ginia Caluori slipped into the mountain jersey on the second day, while Jasmin Liechti won the 13.5 km time trial in Havirov on the third day, moving her up to second place in the overall standings. “We had this time trial in mind for a long time because we thought this course would suit me. Anna pushed me really hard from the car. I felt very good and am just super happy that I was able to secure this victory for our team,” said Liechti. The silver medallist in the U23 time trial at the World Championships in Zurich managed to defend her second place, only beaten by former Paris–Roubaix winner Alison Jackson from Canada. The team ranking is also encouraging – NEXETIS is in third place!
“This ITT marks a significant milestone—not only for Jasmin with her first international ITT victory, but also for Nexetis as a team, claiming our first-ever win in this discipline. It’s a moment of pride and reflection for all of us”, said Anna Wiese. “Each athlete on this team brings something unique to the table—whether it's resilience, tactical instinct, explosive power, or pure heart. Their individuality fuels our collective strength, and that’s what makes this group so special. Tonight, we celebrate the success, but next week, we go again—together.”
The road programme continues on Thursday with three one-day races in Brittany.
