What a weekend! NEXETIS won titles and medals at national championships – first on mountain bikes, then on the road. As if that weren't enough, Jasmin Liechti secured a stage victory and then the overall victory in the Tour of Portugal the following day. For NEXETIS, this is its first victory in an international mass start race and its first in a stage race. “Winning those races and medals took heart, strength, and relentless dedication—and our riders showed it all. A huge congratulations to every athlete and to everyone working behind the scenes who made these results possible”, says Team Manager Anna Wiese. 

Anina Hutter was in impressive form. On Friday, the Graubünden native was crowned Switzerland's first women's short track champion in Savognin, and on Sunday she won the gold medal at the U23 Four Nations Championships in Austria. Lea Huber competed three times and ended the weekend with three bronze medals. And then there was Ginia Caluori, who competed in the Swiss Championships for the first time in the elite category and immediately won the bronze medal in cross-country. 

At the “Volta a Portugal Feminina”, the NEXETIS sextet was among the leaders from the start. Nika Bobnar sprinted to 4th and 5th place; Tsuyaka Uchino took third place in the second stage. On the fourth day, Jasmin Liechti made her big appearance. She won the stage solo and slipped into the leader's jersey, which the team defended brilliantly on the final day. 

“From start to finish, the riders demonstrated outstanding cooperation, tactical awareness, and full commitment. Thanks to executing our race plans and supporting each other on the road, we not only fought for the win but also gained valuable racing experience”, says Wiese. “This race in Portugal showed that we are on the right path, and that our riders have great potential.”
