NEXETIS is getting stronger by the week, the results are getting better and better. Last weekend, Jasmin Liechti celebrated her third win of the season at the GP Liberazione in Rome; Nina Kessler finished third. On the same day, Ginia Caluori (Elite) and Anina Hutter (U23) took second place at the HC Mountainbike race in Austria.

April was generally a very successful month. Around Easter, during a Dutch-Belgian week, the team proved it could compete at a very high level; ten days later, Caluori finished sixth in Chambéry, only letting World Tour athletes take the lead.
For sports director Edi Telser, this development confirms that Swiss Cycling has taken the right path with Nexetis. “Our athletes are here to learn, to get to know the different roles within a team, to find their place and ultimately to function as a collective. It’s working excellently, as the results show.”

Nina Kessler plays a key role in this. The experienced Dutch rider acts as Capitaine du Route, serving as Telser’s right-hand woman in the peloton. “Nina understands cycling, so she makes the right decisions and also fits perfectly into the team on a personal level, even though she is considerably older than the other athletes. The younger riders can learn a lot from her,” notes Telser.

The action continues as early as Thursday with the ‘Gracia’ in the Czech Republic. A year ago, Liechti finished the four-day tour in second place – the omens for another first-class performances from NEXETIS are excellent!
