NEXETIS is delighted with its excellent results and is optimizing
its structure with a change in personnel
The UCI Continental Team NEXETIS has performed well in its first season. However, an analysis of the past few months has revealed a shortcoming in the mountain bike coaching. For this reason, there will be a change in the sporting management. Linda Indergand will replace Anna Wiese and lead the team together with Edi Telser in the future.
Inspiring performances at the Tour de Suisse, stage and overall victories in smaller tours, podium places in the Mountain Bike World Cup and a top-ten finish in the overall classification of the Tour de Romandie: since its launch a year ago, the NEXETIS women's team has overcome considerable challenges, developed impressively under the leadership of Anna Wiese and Edi Telser, and exceeded expectations in terms of results.
In an effort to optimize the starting position for the second season, the events were analyzed in detail. Among other things, this revealed a deficit in the area of mountain bike support, which could not be provided at the required level and was covered by Edi Telser on several occasions, despite the fact that, as Swiss national road coach for women, he should have been present on the road in particular. However, Anna Wiese's strengths also lie in road cycling.
In light of the above, the Board of Directors and team management have jointly concluded that personnel changes are necessary to remedy the structural deficit. From now on, Linda Indergand will lead the team alongside Edi Telser, replacing Anna Wiese. The Tokyo Olympic medalist will primarily focus on mountain biking and provide Telser with selective support on the road.
“We are delighted that Linda Indergand, a well-known face in the Swiss cycling community, has joined NEXETIS,” says Thomas Peter, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “At the same time, we regret that we are unable to continue our collaboration with Anna Wiese. She has done valuable groundwork and played a significant role in last year's successful performances. We would like to thank her sincerely for her great commitment.”
Preparations for the new season are in full swing. A kick-off event is planned for December, during which the 2026 team will be announced.
